Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and whyus.fun (“we”, “us”) covering your use of WHYUS?, the wallet platform at whyus.fun and its subdomains. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

1. Who we are

WHYUS? is owned and operated by whyus.fun. In these terms “the service” means the website, the apps and the wallet-generation features offered under the WHYUS? name.

2. What the service does

• It creates an account for you from an email address and password, with no email verification step.
• It generates a recovery phrase and derives a Solana wallet and an EVM wallet for you, and shows their addresses and QR codes.
• It stores your keys encrypted so that only your signed-in account can reveal them.

The service is self-custodial. We never hold, control, transfer or take custody of your funds, and we are not an exchange, broker, bank or payment institution. We do not provide investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing in the service is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter this agreement, and you must not be subject to sanctions that prohibit your use of the service.

4. Your account and your keys

• You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account.
• You are responsible for your recovery phrase and private keys. Anyone who obtains them can move your funds.
• We cannot recover your wallets. If you lose your recovery phrase we cannot restore it or the wallets it controls — that is a property of self-custody, not a limitation we can waive.
• Keep your own offline backup and, if you want a fallback that does not depend on us, import your phrase into another standard wallet app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to break any law, launder money or evade sanctions, to defraud anyone, to impersonate WHYUS? or whyus.fun, or to attack, overload, scrape or attempt to access another account's data.

6. Fees

Generating and using wallets with WHYUS? is free. Blockchain network fees are charged by the networks themselves and are never collected by us. If we add paid features, we will show the price before you use them.

7. Availability and changes to the service

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. Because your keys are yours, a change to the service never takes your wallets with it: you can always import them into another wallet app.

8. Third-party networks and services

Your wallets exist on public blockchains that we do not control. Transactions are irreversible once confirmed, and we cannot cancel, reverse or refund one. Links to block explorers and references to third-party wallet apps are provided for convenience only; those services have their own terms.

9. Disclaimers

The value of crypto assets is volatile and you can lose all of it. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure against every threat, and we do not warrant that a wallet address will be accepted by any particular network or service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for lost profits, for lost or stolen funds, or for losses arising from your failure to keep your password, recovery phrase or private keys safe. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or 50 US dollars.

11. Intellectual property

The WHYUS? name and logo and the service's software and content belong to whyus.fun or its licensors. Your recovery phrase, private keys and addresses are yours.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and export your wallets first. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we will not use that step to withhold a key you ask for as long as we can verify the request is yours.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at whyus.fun's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you a mandatory right to another forum.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
